About Us

Melissa Tait, DPT, is the Founder and Lead Physical Therapist of Mobility and Movement, LLC. Backed by a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) and a powerful 21-year career in rehabilitation, she has created a practice built on academic rigor and clinical excellence. Melissa is committed to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care focused on unlocking mobility, restoring function, and empowering patients to live actively.

Clinically, She brings 13 years of expertise treating an exceptionally diverse caseload. Her proficiency spans complex post-operative cases, specialized neurological rehabilitation (including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's, and stroke recovery), and unique populations such as pediatric gait abnormalities and individuals with amputations.  Demonstrating a commitment to comprehensive care, she have also developed significant proficiency in treating a full spectrum of wrist and hand diagnoses, often bridging the gap in care settings where an Occupational Therapist was unavailable. Melissa maintains a focus on specialized manual techniques, holding certification in RockTape's Rock Blade technique.
